"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "
John 3:16
Belle Meadows Baptist Church is an independent Baptist church located in Bristol, Virginia and easily accessible from anywhere in the Tri-Cities area.
The purpose of Belle Meadows Baptist Church is to be an Old
Fashion, Bible Believing, Bible Preaching, and Bible Praying Church that has a heart for reaching people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
both locally, and globally.
At Belle Meadows, we have one message - the message of the Lord
Jesus Christ, and one ministry - the ministry He has given us to go into
all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. The church also
serves as the home of Belle Meadows Baptist College.
There are more than 15,000 independent Baptist churches in America and at least 10,000 independent Baptist missionaries serving on mission fields worldwide. Every independent Baptist church is an autonomous congregation. We are self-governing and self-supporting. The head of the church is the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible is our sole authority for faith and practice. It is our desire to be a truly New Testament church.
We believe:
- in the verbal inspiration and authority of the Scriptures.
- that God has preserved His Word for the English speaking people in the King James Version (1611) of the Bible.
- that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation and God's plan and purpose in the ages.
- in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
- in the deity, virgin birth and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
- that salvation is "By grace" plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and faith.
- that men are justified by faith alone and are counted righteous before God only through the merit of the shed blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Justification established an eternal relationship that can never be broken.
- in the visible, personal and pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ.
- in the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.
