"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Boy Scout Troop 104 - Cub Scout Pack

Belle Meadows Baptist Church has a Boy Scout Troop and a Cub Scout Pack as one of its outreach ministries. Our main goal is to win boys for Jesus Christ. Our secondary goals are to teach boys how to be good Christians, good citizens, good outdoorsmen, and to teach them skills that might some day save lives.

The Cub Scouts meet every Thursday night at 6:00 pm and the Boy Scouts meet every Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Our meetings are held in the fellowship hall/gymnasium behind the Church. We work on Scouting skills, citizenship, and have devotions and prayer at our meetings. We have at least one activity every month. A list of activities for 2012 are listed below for the Boy Scouts.

Our Scout Master is J.C. Hobbs and our Cub Master is JoEtta Taylor. Assistant Scout Masters include Tom Burnheimer, Charles Brooks, Vince Cowan, Ken and Cathy DePew, Tim Sluder, Bill Taylor, and JoEtta Taylor. Our Committee Chairman is Arnold Williams and our Eagle Scouts are Travis Taylor and Zach Ralston.

If you have a son who would like to join us in Scouting, please call J.C. Hobbs for Boy Scouting (ages 11 to 18 years old) at 423-764-3226 or send an email to jchobbs@btes.tv. For Cub Scouting (ages 6 to 10 years old), please call JoEtta Taylor at 423-538-5375 or send an email to taylortlt@aol.com.
